Our Fisher Price Baby Monitor

Before my daughter was born in 2008, someone gave
me their used baby monitor. I immediately thought that I would need a brand new one, but tried it anyway.

So it was a hand-me-down to begin with. Boy, have
I been surprised and impressed with this monitor!
It is just a basic hand set and base (with night-lite).

Not only does it work well, but it has gone through events that should have resulted in its demise many times over.

As a first time mom, of course everything made me
nervous, so when I would hear a peep from my baby
I would jump, freak out, and drop the monitor. I have dumped that delightful first cup of coffee on it. I have even let it slip through my hands and tumble down stairs.

I once dropped it in the sink while washing dishes--and then I really thought I would need a brand new one, but this monitor has withstood everything I have put it through, and still keeps an ear on my now 27 month old girl.

It has even (of course) been grabbed and beaten up by her! I would recommend any model Fisher Price Baby Monitor to a parent. It isn't flashy or decorative, but it is the most durable product in my experience, and one of the most necessary baby product for parents.
